Master Class with David Jones in Zürich

Institut Stimmkunst is pleased to announce that we will be hosting masterclasses with the renowned Maestro David L. Jones from New York. My dear friend and mentor David L. Jones will be here in Zürich offering his vocal wisdom in a public masterclass. David Jones will demonstrate the principles of the Swedish-Italian vocal method at work with four different voice types. The master class typically includes a brief overview of the history of the singing method used by the teachers of Kirsten Flagstad, Jussi Bjoerling, as well as Manuel Garcia. The class centers around David’s work with four different voice types. He gives various practical exercises that immediately balance the production of sound after which, each singer is guided to incorporate the principles in repertoire of their choice. This master class is beneficial to singers as well as teachers looking to enhance their teaching methods.

David will personally select singers for his Master Class. Active Participants will receive approximately 30 minutes of instruction. There will be a short Q&A session at the end of the class.

Limited seating available. Reservations are mandatory. To reserve your place, please fill in and submit the reservation form. You will receive confirmation once the reservation is accepted. Reservations will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. All Participation must be confirmed by me.
