Masterclass with Vera Wenkert with public concert
In this masterclass, participants prepare arias and scenes from operas, operettas and musicals. We focus on vocal technique, the interpretation of arias and roles, and on the appearance and skills required to successfully perform on stage.
We will work on one or two arias of your choice or a scene with other singers:
• Voice technique
• Musical interpretation
• Dramatic interpretation
• Concise actionable steps to optimize your presentation and mindset
• Methods for coping with stage fright
You will have the chance to perform your arias and ensemble parts in a public concert in Oberengstringen, organized by Institute StimmKunst together with Culture Commission Oberengstringen. Singers in the concert will get a fee of CHF 100,-
The lessons will be:
Tuesday, June 2, from 2:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Wednesday, June 3, from 1 pm – 9 pm
Thursday June 4, from 1 pm – 9 pm
Friday June 5, from from 1pm – 6:30 pm
Public concert on Saturday June 6 at 7:30 pm

Course instructors:
• Vera Wenkert: dramatic soprano (performed more than 30 dramatic roles), vocal specialist and founder of the international Institute StimmKunst.
• Professional pianists: Thomas Barthel, Opera Zurich and Nadanai Laoahunakorn, Edinburgh
